My Mother's Hands

Interview with Reydesel Salvidrez Rodriguez

December 13, 2021

We are joined by Reydesel Salvidrez Rodriguez aka Undocu_grad! Reydesel starts off this episode by sharing the most beautiful poem titled, “My Mother's Hands,” an audio art piece highlighting the hard work, tenderness, and power that his mother holds. He then makes it about all the men and women who have worked endlessly at the forefront of this pandemic. Reydesel is motivated by his siblings and elders, he shares how they have guided him through life. This is a beautiful story of family, un ranchito in Chihuahua, Mexico, and a creative process to navigate the rest. A reminder that our ancestors are always with us too. Give it up for Reydesel
